Jukebox Battle of the Bands Gives Unsigned Artists a Chance to Win an Audition with Warner Bros. Records A&R, $3,000 and a National Music Promotion on TouchTunes
New York, November 23, 2015 – TouchTunes, the largest in-venue interactive music and entertainment platform, in 71,000 social venues globally, is searching for America’s next big talent. The second installment of the TouchTunes Breakout Band contest will give unsigned artists a chance to win a live audition with an A&R executive at Warner Bros. Records, $3,000, and a national music promotion on TouchTunes. In addition, Warner Bros. recording artists will lend their expertise to help determine the winner.
Breakout Band puts a modern twist on a “battle of the bands,” reviving the classic live music competition through TouchTunes’ #1 social jukebox mobile app and its network of location-based digital jukeboxes. The contest gives unsigned artists the opportunity to have their music promoted across 60,000 social venues nationwide, as well as opening the door to be heard by a major label.

Unsigned artists will compete by submitting one original song for consideration at www.touchtunesbreakoutband.com. The first 500 submissions will be added to a themed playlist and promoted nationally across the TouchTunes network. Fans of participating bands will be encouraged to download the TouchTunes mobile app, find nearby locations, and blast their favorite band’s music at their local hangout. Entries will be accepted across all music genres and be evaluated on a variety of criteria, including creativity, originality, and public appeal. The winning artist will be announced in March 2016.
